I love to fry a lot of foods but always feel like I am using unhealthy oils. I was happy to be introduced to Zoye oil because I was more than happy to try a new oil. Zoye Vegetable Oil is soybean oil, is among the healthiest of all edible oils, and is made with renewable energy. As an everyday salad, cooking and frying oil, Zoye is also Non-GMO, low in saturated fat and one of the few non-fish sources of omega-3 fatty acids. The best part about this oil is that it does not taste funny but is great tasting.
I used it as an oil to fry foods and it worked great for me. I actually went and bought more! It is an oil that I will be using for a very long time to come.

Their other product I tried is called But-R-Lite. Zoye But-R-Lite is a healthier alternative to butter as it is dairy free, gluten free and a versatile margarine substitute great for frying, sautéing and as a pan coating. It’s delicious as an oil for popping popcorn and works well as a yummy topping for corn-on-the-cob, pancakes, popcorn and everything else you would like buttered! I used it on corn, in pancakes, to pop popcorn, and for sautéing. It worked very well and was just as tasty as any other butter you would use. If you are looking for healthier alternatives I would give these a try.

A romantic-drama, OLD FASHIONED centers on Clay Walsh, a former frat boy who gives up his reckless carousing and now runs an antique shop in a small Midwestern college town. There, he has become notorious for his lofty and outdated theories on love and romance as well as for his devout belief in God. When Amber Hewson, a free-spirited young woman with a restless soul, drifts into the area and rents the apartment above his shop, she finds herself surprisingly drawn to his strong faith and noble ideas, which are new and intriguing to her. And Clay, though he tries to fight and deny it, simply cannot resist being attracted to her spontaneous and passionate embrace of life. Ultimately, Clay must step out from behind his relational theories and Amber must overcome her own fears and deep wounds as the two of them, together, attempt the impossible: an "old-fashioned" and God-honoring courtship in contemporary America.

My Review:

This movie was really good in my opinion. I was entertained and touched by it. It is far different than many other love story movies you see because the couple moves slow and in a respectable manor. It was a movie for the whole family and I think it would be great for newly dating people like teens. Definitely a great movie.

Tips to Keep Kids Reading This Summer

COMMENTS

There are many ways to engage kids and keep them reading throughout the summer. Even though my child is not in school we tend to be busier in the summer and I want her to still get book time in. I have found some ways that I want to share that will help keep kids reading even in summer.

There are a lot of summer reading programs. These programs have parents or kids that can write down hours and books read. At the end of summer they get a prize for reading. Above is the ad for our local library summer reading program. We are already signed up and will be joining a kickoff party this week end. Barnes & Noble has a program you can sign up for by clicking the link as well as Scholastic.

Another tip is to read books that have to do with summer or summer activities like camping or beach days. You can get a list of a few on my other post: summer books.

Taking books outdoors is a great idea in the summer. Kids will think it is fun and you can get fresh air while reading. Make a picnic lunch and pack a book or two and even hike to eat and read somewhere.

Make a reading corner for your child to be able to read on their on this summer. My daughter has a little corner in her room with a big comfy pillow. She takes her books over there sometimes and enjoys them by herself.

Make sure you as a parent are enjoying reading and it will encourage your kids to keep reading this summer. How do you keep your kids reading in summer?

Preschooler Book List for Summer Reading Fun

Summer is coming fast and it is important to keep your kids reading. I have searched the internet and our library and have compiled a fun list of books to keep your preschooler reading. This is not a post to review but just books we enjoy ourselves. There will not be links to find the books.

The first book I want to share is Chu's Day at the Beach. This is such a fun cute story that we read over and over so far.

Mysteries of the Beach is a wonderfully illustrated picture book your young child will enjoy.

Wow! Ocean teaches young kids all about ocean wildlife and makes it fun.

At the Beach is a collection of photos from beaches that pull your child in and let them tell the story.

We were able to find these books with the help of our local children librarian and I am sure you could do the same.
What kind of summer books can you think of for preschoolers?
