Dial Baby & Kids Review/Giveaway

*Disclosure: I was provided complimentary samples in order to facilitate my review. These are my opinions and experiences and yours may differ. Post may contain affiliate links.*

My daughter loves bath and potty time. She likes playing in the water (yes even when washing her hands). I really like how companies like Dial make kids soap because it makes my daughter feel special to have her own soap to use in the bath and when hand washing. My daughter is 3 but I still use baby soap on her because of her extra sensitive skin.

Dial baby body and hair wash is a very gentle soap that lathers up really well. We did not use it in her hair but we did wash her off with it. It is not scented and we really like that too. Some scents are just too overwhelming when it comes to baby body wash. This wash is great!

My daughter takes her hand washing serious. Dial kids foaming hand wash is a great way to help her want to wash her hands more. The one I was sent smells like watermelon. It is not an overwhelming scent and we really liked the smell. It foams up and my daughter had fun using it to wash her hands.

I like my child having nice clean hands especially when so many bugs are going around in our area. We had a great time trying these products out and we definitely like them a lot. Now is your chance to get to try them as well. Below is a giveaway to enter to win two coupons for free Dial baby and kids products. Good luck!

I really love to read and am not picky about what I read. I was so happy to be part of this campaign because I think books make the perfect Mother's Day gift. About Christy:

As a worship leader for many years, she has been an integral part of Passion Conferences from its inception in 1997.  She's seen first hand music sweep people into the presence of God in a powerful way. A pastor’s kid, who was born in Fort Worth and raised in Oklahoma, she grew up singing in church. She met her husband, Nathan, in 1993 at the Christian Artists Seminar in Estes Park, Co. They recorded an independent record with fellow worship leader Charlie Hall under the name Sons & Daughters that led to an invitation from Louie Giglio to participate in the first Passion conference in Austin. Christy’s voice gained a national platform when she and Nathan formed the duo Watermark, recording four acclaimed albums before that musical season ended, paving the way for Christy’s solo career. In 2008, the couple moved to Atlanta to become part of Passion City Church where she serves on the worship team with sixstepsrecords labelmates Chris Tomlin and Kristian Stanfill. The following year, Nockels released her acclaimed solo debut, Life Light Up and spent much of the next two years touring with Tomlin and Passion.

Follow and learn more about Christy using the links below. You can also sample the music on iTunes.

My Review:

I absolutely enjoyed this CD! My husband listened to it with me and really liked it as well. I had never heard of Christy Nockels before and that is probably because I do not get a chance to enjoy much music. I am so happy that I can play this CD in my car and worship God while driving around. Even our 3 year old daughter was getting into the music. You can enter below to win your own copy of this great CD. Good luck!!

5 Awesome Outdoor Places in Colorado to Visit this Summer

Here in Colorado we have no shortage on beautiful places to visit and fun things to do. You can really find a lot of things to do in the Summer. I will be sharing a few of my favorite places and some that are on my bucket list.

Picture is my niece and I walking Estes Park

First off is my all-time favorite place to visit, Estes Park. I have been visiting Estes Park since I was a little kid. My family would go every weekend just for the drive. It is a very beautiful place. You can rent a cabin, fish on the lake or in the Big Thompson River, and you can shop up and down main street. There are a lot of unique shops to visit and great places to eat. There are also tons of festivals and a rodeo during the Summer months. Estes Park is located 30 minutes West of Loveland.

Life Transitions and Changes

COMMENTS

I am going through a lot of changes in my life right now and need to blog about them. Some will be in another post though. For now I want to talk about my schooling. I am no longer able to continue with school due to financial reasons. I will be transitioning into a full time stay at home mom! This far I have been more into schooling than anything. I do stay at home with my daughter but unfortunately was not able to give her all of me. I will now be able to take better care of our home and give her all of me. We will have to get into a new routine around here. I will of course still be blogging. It may not be as much as I want though.

When Calls The Heart Season Two Is Coming!

About the series:
The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coalmining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman’s career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a turn of the century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.

Cinnamon Raisin Peanut Butter Cookies

2
COMMENTS

So this is not a dinner recipe but a desert (I really should make a desert logo). Last week I found a recipe for magic peanut butter cookies and it was so yummy. I thought I would try something similar to it but different at the same time. I really like peanut butter but I like it even more when it is flavored or has added protein. Buff Bake is a brand that I have reviewed on the blog in the past. I recently decided to buy a sampler pack from them and used some to make these cookies.

I am one to not use real sugar because of my gastric bypass it makes me really sick if I do.
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup sugar (or substitute)
1 cup cinnamon raisin peanut butter

Steps:

Blend it all together and then form balls on your baking sheet. Use a fork to press down.
The oven needs to be at 375 and cookies will bake from 9-10 minutes. You do need to keep an eye on them or they will burn. This recipe makes 12-15 smaller cookies.

The final product was pretty yummy and full of protein. I love trying to bake new things and these were so easy.
Have you made a recipe variation that turned out yummy? What was it?

Summer Bucket List Craft

COMMENTS

The craft I am sharing with you today was not an idea of my own but from a woman in my Mops group. It was so neat that I have to share it though. I am not one to make a bucket list because I figure I will never finish it anyways. This bucket list is way different though. These are activities that you can do in the summer time with your children.

Materials needed:

  • Bucket
  • Clothes pins
  • Marker
  • Tape
  • Small Bucket

You can add as many activities as you want to do over the summer. At the end I will provide a list of some we used and more.  The first step is marking your bucket with the tape. You can write what you want to call it on the tape and put it on the bucket. Then you will write the activities on the clothespins.

When you are done with that you can put the clothespins around the edge of the bucket. During the summer when you finish an activity you put the pin in the bucket. By the end of summer your bucket will (hopefully) be full. Kids can help with this by decorating the bucket or the pins and putting pins in during the summer.

Below is a list you can use to get ideas for your pins (it is not made by me but from Ivillage). We used a lot of these but did not use any I know will not be doable.

Have you ever made a bucket list of any kind?

Fit Wrapz Review

Fit Wrapz is a company that makes healthy wrapz. The company was started by a personal trainer who noticed his clients needed more healthy food choices that could be taken on the go. These burritos are just that.

There are many flavors to choose from:

They come in green chili chicken, barbecue chicken, breakfast burrito, and breakfast burrito with maple sugar.
My favorite is the breakfast burrito with maple sugar. All of the burritos were really good but I think they could use a little bit more seasoning. The chicken burritos were loaded with rice, chicken, and veggies. The breakfast burritos had sausage, egg whites, and veggies.

These are great for someone looking for a healthy fast meal in the morning or afternoon. You can learn more and connect with the company using the links below:
