About the book:
Softcover / 246 pgs.

Order-loving, thirty-something Rachel, and her laid-back, messy mother, Becky, are opposites in many ways. But they both believe that women long for a life that nourishes them inside and out. In this book, the mother-daughter duo will help you make that dream a reality by tackling the “Top 10 Stressors” that mess with a woman’s mind, such as:

•Cluttered Surroundings
•Exhaustion of parenting
•Feeling like a spiritual slacker
•Negative Body Image

•Time-starved marriages
•Crowded Schedules

Following a series of trial-and-error experiments, Becky and Rachel share laugh-out-loud stories, fascinating research, and practical tips to design and a nourished life that fits your personality. By learning how to embrace “nourishing compromises,” you’ll never put happiness on hold again. If you are feeling drained, discontent, or discouraged, join a couple of understanding, entertaining companions on the journey from overwhelmed to nourished.

My Review:

I enjoyed this one a lot. The title sounds like me all the way. I especially relate to the full night's sleep part. Even with a 3 year old I still do not get good sleep. The book has stories in different chapters like Barbell Therapy. This one talks about fitness and has stories from the authors in it. It was a fun and quick read. I really did nourish me and I got great tips from it. A must read for moms like myself.

About the book:
176 pages / Forward by Dr. Gary Chapman (author of 5 Love Languages)
What are you agreeing to when you say “I do”? When a couple promises “I do,” they agree to more than just a shared last name, a joint bank account, and no more dateless nights. This husband and wife duo forms a new team. “Life together” becomes their mantra. Nothing can come between them. At least, that’s the plan. But then real life sets in. With it come disappointments and frustrations. If the couple isn’t intentional in their day-to-day interactions, that once enthusiastic “we” can slowly revert to “you” and “me.” Before long, the couple’s left wondering what happened to their team spirit.
Team Us: Marriage Together offers couples practical ways to cultivate and strengthen unity in their marriages. Author Ashleigh Slater shares from her own marriage as she presents couples with realistic ideas on how to foster cooperation, deepen commitment, and exercise grace on a daily basis.
“Finishing your marriage story well is definitely within your reach, no matter what your history tells you.”
My Review:
I loved this book and got some great insight out of it. My husband and I really need to work on being a team and seeing us as one. Right now we never get us time and it is something that I really long for. My husband on the other hand thinks we don't need it. That is just something we need to sit down and talk about. This book has helped tremendously though. Every couple should read it.

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it. Why not go out of the ordinary cards and roses and get your love some good books and chocolate? I know if my husband did this for me I would be the happiest wife ever. We are talking about two books that would make great Valentine's Day Gifts.

The first one is called Love Gently Falling written by Melody Carlson.

Rita Jansen is living her dream in Hollywood when her father calls with news that her mother is sick. When she gets home to Chicago, Rita finds her mother is facing a long recovery and could lose the family-owned salon. As Rita takes her mother's place at work, she also finds herself renewing a friendship with her classmate Johnny and is surprised by how far he will go to help her.

You can purchase this book and read more about it at Love Gently Falling.

The second book is called Keys of Heaven written by Adina Senft.

Sarah Yoder is learning to help the people in her Amish community as a Dokterfraa, creating teas and tinctures from the herb she grows. But her latest patient seems to have a problem that can't be resolved. Meanwhile, Sarah's relatives attempt a little matchmaking between her and a new visitor. This is the second book in the Healing Grace series.

You can purchase and read more about this book at Keys of Heaven.

The awesome part of this post is that you can enter to win both books and a chocolate bar from Olive and Sinclair below.  Good luck!

SAHM Confessions Friday

COMMENTS

It is finally Friday again yay! Although that really has no meaning to me since I work every day. I have a few confessions from my week to share and hope you enjoy and join in with me.

Confession 1:

I have one goofy kid! I just had to share this picture and what happened. I walked into out master bedroom and was looking for the clothes basket. I found it with my daughter in it. She has my foot rock and told me "I am being mommy." It was so funny I forgot about the basket and had to come back to get it. Just a silly confession I had to share.

Confession #2:

Do you ever feel like there are eyes on you at all times? Well there are eyes on me ALL the time. I can't even use the restroom alone. I know some moms lock the bathroom door but if I do that I just get to use the bathroom with a crazy screaming child outside the door. I guess it is pretty entertaining watching me go potty.

Confession #3:

It had been really cold here so we could not get outside. I confess that when it is ugly outside we sit and throw the ball inside. It is a great way for her to get her energy out. Best part is I can just sit there and make her get the ball haha. She has fun with this game though.

Confession #4:

We did have one beautiful day this week where it got up to 70! We took advantage and went to the park. My daughter loves the park but I really dislike it. I can't stand how other people let their kid run wild and bully other kids. While we were there a mom had a camera taking pictures of every kid in the park (pretty odd if you ask me) while her son was running around terrorizing the poor younger kids. She should have been watching her kid instead of taking weird pictures. Someone did ask her what she was doing and she just answered with, "Taking pictures of my son." That's total bull because he was not even near her. Just one of the many reasons I do not like the park. I go because it is good for my child to interact not because it is good for me. We usually stay 30 minutes unless no one is around then we can stay longer.

Confession #5:

I can't wait for our taxes to be deposited! We really need a new couch. Ours has a hole in it and is so uncomfortable. It sounds like we will have to wait one more week to get them back though. My husband didn't get a refund anticipation check.

Your turn! What kind of funny or serious confessions can you make this week? Share with me here or on Facebook.

NEW RELEASE
SEASIDE SUMMERS BOOK 3.....
The newest addition to the LOVE IN BLOOM series, featuring a group of fun, sexy, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They’re funny, flawed, and will have you begging to enter their circle of friends. You met them in READ, WRITE, LOVE, (The Remingtons, Book 5), follow these friends on their search for forever love in the Seaside Summers series.

SEASIDE SUNSETS
Jessica Ayers has lived a sheltered life with little more than cello lessons and practices taking up her day. Now a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, she escapes the prim and proper symphony to vacation in the Seaside community in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, and determine if she is living life to the fullest or missing it altogether.

For the first time since developing the second largest search engine in the world, billionaire Jamie Reed is taking the summer off. He plans to work from the Cape and spend time with his elderly grandmother—and falling in love is not in his plans.

From the moment Jamie and Jessica meet, the attraction is white-hot. Once-overly-focused Jamie can think of little else than sensual, smart, and alluring Jessica, and Jessica discovers a side of herself she never knew existed. But when Jamie’s business encounters trouble and his attorney and best friend intervenes, he proves that the blond beauty is too distracting for Jamie. To make matters worse, it appears that Jessica might not be who she says she is, turning Jamie’s life—and his heart—upside down. In a world where personal information is always one click away, Jamie must decide if he should trust his heart or watch the woman he loves walk away.

SEASIDE SUMMERS are the newest addition to the LOVE IN BLOOM series
**CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

My Review:
Seaside Sunsets has been my favorite of the Seaside Summers books so far. I really related to Jessica taking time off to discover herself. I have gone through that myself in life which made me like her as a character even more. I find when I have something in common with the character it keeps me more interested. Her meeting Jamie and finding love was just an added bonus to her vacation for her. The ups and downs of their relationship almost had me in tears but in the end I was so happy with how it turned out. I loved losing myself in this book and can't wait to get the next one started. Melissa Foster sure knows how to please her readers!

I really like subscription boxes but this is one of my favorites. I am getting the weight loss edition of the Bulu Box. This month's had some great products in it.

I had to show the box itself because I love it. It has different sayings on it and is pretty neat. First thing I saw when I opened it was this magnet and brochure with details of each item. The magnet can be torn apart and them you can stick certain words up for the day. Pretty fun!

Next we got some lentil crackers which were really tasty even for being cracked pepper flavor. They made a great snack.

This Nightfood bar was supposed to help curb your late night cravings. For me it made me want something sweet for some reason. I am not sure what that was all about. My blood sugar may have been low. I think if I were to try it more than once I may get a different result.

Pretoxx was one of the items I did note get to try out and probably will not. It is to help prevent hangover symptoms. I would not need to use it but am passing it along to someone who could use it.

Umph is a product that you mix in  a drink pre-workout. It gives you a boost of energy to get more out of your workout. I gave me just the energy I needed to get it done on a day when I was dragging. It did not taste too bad either.

Lipo 6 was the other item I have not tried out yet and not sure if I will. I think something like this may take more than one use to see results.

Miracle Tree tea tasted great and can replace coffee in the morning. It can help reduce those extra morning calories. I am going to find more of this because I really liked it.

It was a great box this month and I can't wait to see what February will bring. You can subscribe at Bulu Box.

FLYJOY Bars Review

FLYJOY is a company that makes snack bars in different flavors. They are available in espresso cacao nib, peanut cacao nib, cranberry almond, cherry coconut, coconut almond, and blueberry almond. Each favor fits into a category of either energy, antioxidant, or endurance. I was sent a variety to try out.

You can see in the pictures which flavors belong to which category. I loved all of the flavors including the coconut. I usually do not like coconut flavor but this one was good. The energy bars even gave me energy. I am definitely getting more bars soon.
A neat fact about these bars and the company is that they donate 10% of each purchase to Hope International. You can learn more about the company and product using the links below.

Western Bagel company makes bagels, pita bread, and other bread products. They have alternative bagels which are only 120 calories each! They come in different flavors too. I was sent a variety of products to try out.

I was sent two flavors of the perfect 10 bagel: everything and healthy grain. I was also sent alternative bagels in blueberry, wheat, and plain. They included some alternative pita bread as well. I have never had an everything bagel and am now in love with them. How can something taste so good?

I toasted the bagels I tried out and added a little almond butter on them. I used the pita bread for tuna and it was yummy.

This company makes some great bagels and I was very happy with what I tried out. You can learn more about them using the links below.

Amazingly Beautiful Moisturizer Review

Trusted Health Products is a company that makes a lot of nature friendly health products. I will be reviewing a few but the first one up is called Amazingly Beautiful. It is an AM face moisturizer and PM face revitalizer. There is also one for men called The Man.

I thought it was pretty neat that the bottles are personalized. It's great to read that I am beautiful every morning and before bed. In the morning you put 2 to 3 drops on each cheek and gently spread over the entire face including neck and forehead. Use a circular motion and do not rub in. I had a hard time not rubbing it in. I am used to rubbing in most stuff I put on my face. If you have excess after three minutes then you should blot your face with a tissue or damp cloth. I did have to do this a few times because I had to get used to what I needed for my face.

Amazingly Beautiful will take your skin through a detox period. This can take up to thirty days. You might experience a brief blemish breakout. I did not experience a breakout but did have a little bit of redness that went away pretty fast actually.  Benefits of using the product are usually seen pretty fast (first few days) but even greater benefits happen around 3 months of using it. You will get a young looking more radiant appearance. My skin does look a lot better after almost a month of using it. Less redness and I seem to glow and my face just looks great.

The product is made of 100% pure botanical oils of almond, orange, lemon, avocado, evening primrose, olive, and apricot. It does have an orange smell to it. There are no preservatives, parabens, GMO's, synthetic chemicals, artificial colors, or additives of any kind. It is a natural way to get your face back. You can learn more about the product and company using the links below.

Teeccino Coffee Alternative Review

*Disclosure: I was provided complimentary samples in order to facilitate my review. These are my opinions and experiences and yours may differ.*

Teeccino is a caffeine free coffee alternative. It taste just as good a coffee and comes in different flavors and roasts. It comes in packs like tea and also in grounded like coffee. I was sent some different ones to try out.

I was sent vanilla nut, java, and dandelion dark roast. Sometimes I want coffee but don't want the caffeine headache that comes from it. I was so happy to try these. I liked all of them except the dark roast. I am just not a fan of dark roast anything. The dandelion was very good and does not taste like a plant. I was unsure of what that one was going to be like but it was smooth and tasty. You can learn more about the products and the company using the links below.
