Marriage is a very hard journey. When you bring two people to become one there will be a lot of ups and downs. Resources like this can help your marriage stay strong. This DVD and book are volume one starting strong. The DVD had a lot of interviews with people such as John & Stasi Eldredge and Gary & Lisa Thomas. They share their advice and stories on how they met and what they have been through. The book is a study guide to go along with the DVD. It is set up so that you can do this study in a group. There are discussion questions for after the video is watched. Each section is short and I think it would work well in a group or just at home with your spouse. My husband and I went through it together and learned where we need work and where our marriage is strong.
From a Christian stand point marriage is for companionship. We are meant to get married and become one. This is a problem that my husband and I have and I was glad to see other couples do as well. Sometimes I feel like we are going through things that are just weird and no one else experiences them but that is far from the truth. This DVD and book will help couples cultivate a strong solid biblical foundation for their marriage. If God is not part of your marriage it will not be pretty. God should be center with husband and wife outside and then the children of the home. I really like all of the Bible verses that are thrown into this DVD and book. They bring you back to what God wants in marriage and relationships. This is a really good resource and I am glad I got to review it.

  1. Maybe if I had this a few months or even a year ago things might have turned out differently with my marriage. Well there's hope for others. :)
