Here in Colorado we have no shortage on beautiful places to visit and fun things to do. You can really find a lot of things to do in the Summer. I will be sharing a few of my favorite places and some that are on my bucket list.

Next up is Central City. This is the place to get your gambling on. You can take kids but the casinos only allow them in the restaurant area if there is one. I remember as a kid there was a play area with video games and other pay to play things. We would go in there and play while my parents would go to a nearby casino. As an adult I have much more fun. Central City is a great place to get a hotel and stay the weekend. I really hope we get to do that again soon. Central City is close to Black Hawk. This is another small gambling town. These towns have a lot of rich history behind them. If you visit be sure to hit up their museums to learn more.

Next on my list is Garden Of The Gods. It is located in Colorado Springs and is a very beautiful place to visit. There are a lot of trails for you to hike and see the rock formations. You can make a day trip out of it. Don't forget to stop at the visitors center and get a map. The map will show you where all the formations are and tell you the names. We had a lot of fun on out visit there not long ago.

Idaho Springs is a place that might not make many peoples bucket list. It is on mine because I really want to do an Argo Gold Mine & Mill tour. We went up to do it a while ago but the weather was just too bad when we go there. We really hope to go again this Summer and do the actual tour. There are more than just this mine but this one has been on my list since I was a kid and we were not able to go then either. I will go and believe me I will blog when I get to!

Last but not least is Great Sand Dunes National Park. This is another one that is on my bucket list. I have never been here but it looks like a lot of fun. It is located in Alamosa which is a pretty long drive from Denver (not sure on time exactly). You can hike and even camp here. What I really want to do is sled down the huge mountains of sand! You can learn more about this at the site above.
Have you been to Colorado? If so what did you get to enjoy while here?
