Valentine's Day Banner Craft

I wanted to get one more fun (cheap) craft up before Valentine's Day gets here. My daughter likes to decorate and hang things up so we decided to do a cute little banner.

Materials needed:

Scissors
Pencil to trace
Heart shape to trace
Twine or string
Hole punch to make holes
Material to trace onto

Steps:

Step 1:
Trace the hearts onto the material of your choice. We went to the Dollar Tree and got some foam sheets. We got one big and one small and made hearts with both.

Step 2:
Cut put the hearts and poke the holes in the top.

Step 3:
String hearts in any order that you want. Before stringing you could let the kids decorate the hearts. We decided to glue some tiny foam heart beads onto a few of ours.

Our final banner looked like this:

What I love about this craft is that you can make it longer or shorter and personalize in a lot of places.

Have you done many Valentine's Day crafts yet?
