I was so happy when I got my Kidecals samples in the mail. I was able to order some and chose a sheet for myself and one for Christine's room. My sheet is leftovers tags with a place for date on them. Christine's are tags for her toys like dress up, ball, and stuffies.

The leftovers tags are useable on the same container over and over. Mine have not peeled off and I have washed the containers multiple times. The only part that comes off is the date so I can change it when I need to.

The one's I got for Christine I used on bind and her dresser. Her dad never knows where her clothes are drawer wise. He can never find her pajamas or shirts and this has helped him out a lot.

Ignore her scratched up dresser. These tags are so awesome and I am glad I got to try them out. There are so many things you can chose from on their website too. Go have a look: Kidecals online.

My daughter is in love with these. I introduced them to her a while ago when she was younger and I am happy that she still likes them. I was sent a variety of flavors to try out.

Mt favorite are the Lentil Snaps Tomato Basil. They are so yummy. All of the crisps make great snack or go well into your child's lunch for school. They are a great size so they fit well into a plastic container to travel. We eat them all the time in our house.

The picture above is to show you size and how yummy the tomato basil lentil snaps look. As you probably could guess the lentil snaps are made with lentils while the snapea crisps use snapeas. This is a great way to sneak vegetables into your kid's diets. I really love the crisps and definitely recommend them!

You can learn more about them at: Harvest Snaps online.

This was our first year at Butterfly Pavilion's Bug-A-Boo event. We really enjoyed it too! We got candy, got to see cockroach races, and I even held Rosie the Tarantula! We were given treat bags at the door when we entered (thankfully because this mommy forgot about that part).

The first area we hit up was where the bees and Rosie were. Below are some pics from there.

I thought the trashcan above was pretty neat so I had to share it. The bee hive had a counter too to see how many bees had left during the day. When we were there it was at about 1700. I will admit I was pretty scared to be holding a spider but I did it! Christine was pretty scared and wouldn't even go near it though. We even got to touch a cockroach! It was just hard and didn't move thankfully.

Next we went to an area with fish and other marine life. We touched a starfish and then a horseshoe crab. It was pretty fun and Christine touched both.

After that we headed to the cockroach races, face painting, and craft area. We were able to get candy along the way at little stops they had. Some had a little game to play or a question to answer and then you got your candy. There was also a stilt walker. He scared Christine at first then started juggling and she thought it was funny.

She got a bee on her hand.

 Number 3 ended up winning!

We then went in to see the butterflies. There was a scavenger hunt you could do and get some candy too. We skipped it because we missed getting it before going in.

Look closely at the next three pictures. There are butterflies but they were blending in.

We also decided to take a little walk around outside and found some neat stuff.

This was actually inside in a play area.

There was also a place to get pictures inside near the face painting. There was also a caricature artist but we skipped that. We also missed the balloon animals because we left an hour before they were there.

We had so much fun today! You can still go tomorrow October 19 and even get a discount with the coupon below. It was a great event and we will be there next year too!

About the movie:

This brand-new VeggieTales musical premiered Oct. 14 and stars Kellie Pickler (American IdolDancing With the Stars), who brings her unmistakable voice to the role of Mirabelle, a sweet-potato singer whose family band is on the brink of superstardom. BEAUTY AND THE BEET blends the irresistible charm of VeggieTales with a heartfelt message about unconditional love. The DVD also includes Mac and Cheese, a giddy new “Silly Songs With Larry” segment in which Larry the Cucumber reveals the surprising and heretofore untold history of his family’s unexpected contributions to Italian cuisine. BEAUTY AND THE BEET is just the start of the fun in store this fall for VeggieTalesfans, because the gang will also star in a brand-new Netflix original series, VeggieTales In the House, which premieres Thanksgiving weekend.

My Review:
This was a cute little movie just like all the other VeggieTales movies. This one taught kids that you should love unconditionally and was a little like Beauty and the Beast. It has great songs in it as well. The best part was having Kellie Pickler's voice in it! She is such a talent and really brought Mirabelle to life. It is a great movie all kids should see!

Rock Angel Book Review

*Disclosure: I was provided a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion. These are my opinions only and yours may differ.*

About the book:
Shan is young, beautiful, talented, and addicted to heroin in Rock Angel, a novel that follows her meteoric rise to guitar goddess stardom in the 90’s. She is discovered in New York by a handsome, arrogant musical genius named Quinn, and sparks fly between them when he hires her as lead guitarist of his band. Although Quinn is accustomed to bedding a different groupie every night, he can’t ignore his deepening feelings for his new band mate. From gritty Greenwich Village clubs to L.A.’s Troubadour; gigging and touring the country to the cover of Rolling Stone, Rock Angel is infused with the passionate music and intense sexual chemistry of Shan and Quinn. Shan must work out her personal demons and learn to trust Quinn enough to love him, but still remain true to the music that has always been her salvation. A hot, hard-driving story set in an intoxicating world of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll, Rock Angel is the first novel by author, Jeanne Bogino. (Taken from book description on Goodreads.com)

My review:
WOW! This book was amazing. Jeanne Bogino really made Shan, Quinn and other characters come to life. I felt their pain and happiness and in my head I was right there with them. I really got into this book and finished it pretty fast. The author used great detail in every scene and I could picture what was happening. This is a great adult book and did contain some sexual content and cursing but that was right up my alley. I can not wait until the next one comes out! I really like how this one ended but want to know what is next for Shan. Great adult novel!
