Every Day a Blessing A Year of God's Love is a children's devotional book. A lot of devotionals use dates like January 1 and so on. This book does days like Monday, Tuesday, and so on. I love it this way because you do not have to read it in order. You can chose the devotional you want to read for Monday by finding one that interests you and your child and says Monday.

The devotionals are written for kids aged 6 to 10. They have great illustrations at the bottom of each day as well. One of my favorite parts is that the devotional ends with an activity or question to engage your child. This makes it fun and will help them understand what they have just read.

Bible Savvy Book Series review

**Disclosure: I was provided complimentary books in order to facilitate my review. These are my opinions and experiences and yours may differ.*

This is not a single book review it is a series of four books written by James Nicodem. The series is called Bible Savvy and it contains books called Context, Epic, Foundation, and Walk. I will write about each one separately to give you a better insight on each one.

I am not sure if they are to be read in a certain order but to me it makes sense to start with Context ( How to Understand the Bible). You need to know how to understand what you are reading before you jump into it right? This book is a book to clarify aspects in the Bible. There are four aspects it touches. These are history, literature, theology, and how we should see the Bible through modern eyes. When you get these points you will more than likely understand the Bible.

In my eyes the second book to be read would be Epic (The Storyline of the Bible). This book talks about how the Bible fits together as a whole. You need to realize that the Bible is not just a book with lots of stories but it is one story. This book gives you the points and shows you how it fits together.

The third one would be Foundation (The Reality of the Bible). People wonder if the Bible can be trusted or not and this book touches on that. The author explains the foundational doctrines like inspiration and revelation. He offers a clear account of the Bible's history.

The last book in the series would be Walk (How to Apply the Bible). To me this one comes last because you will need to understand the others before you can apply the Bible to your life. This book the author encourages us and teaches the COMA structure. The COMA structure means context, observation, message, and application. It is steps you can take to apply the Bible to your life.

I absolutely love this series and plan to read it again and again to get all I can out of it. I think it could even be read as a family. If you do Bible study together these books could help.

As Christian's we may question why we celebrate things like Advent or Christmas. This book provides answers and ways to live the church calendar more personally. It includes recipes, readings, and prayers for the church seasons.

The first section of the book goes into detail about the Advent. It teaches you about the calendar, traditions, fasting, and much more. There is stuff in here I did not even know about. I was very eager and happy to learn it though.

The second section talks more in depth about Christmas. It teaches you traditions, about the nativity, and the meaning behind Christmas trees. I think this book is a great tool to have in every Christian home. You can even read it as a family an learn more.

All-in2Night Book Review

Families should slow down and take some time to do stuff together. This book is a tool to use to do just that. This book contains forty different activities for a fun all-in-night. You will be able to establish a routine of spending time together as a family. The activities are designed with a Christian family in mind. That is the best part to me.

There are weekly activities for your family to do. Each one starts out with a topic such as jealousy. Then you will see why you want to talk about this topic. The book then gives you a discussion layouts to follow and tips on how to get the family talking about that topic. It even shares bible verses to refer to for the topic. At the end of the discussion layout you will find a life lesson and some tips.

At the beginning of the book there are a few chapters that will describe why families need to do activities like this. Building strong Christian families is what it is all about. Keeping the family connected like this will keep them strong. I am an adult and learned a lot looking at the activities. Sometimes I wonder about jealousy and other topics but am not sure where to find more about what the bible says about it. This book is a great tool and I can see it helping a lot of families.

You can purchase your own copy on Amazon. You can also read more about it there.

I was so happy when Master Manufacturing Company Inc. asked if I would be interested in reviewing some microfiber gloves. These gloves are awesome! They are microfiber soft gloves that you can wear in the winter to keep your hands warm. The best part is that they are usable with your mobile phone or tablet. Most gloves will not work on touchscreen items. These gloves even clean your item. I think that it is pretty neat that the same gloves keeping you warm can do so much.

You can run your hand across the screen and it will clean it off! They do not scratch it either. The gloves have special designed fibers in the the fingertips which make it so you can use them on the touchscreen devices. If you need to be warm and use a touchscreen device than these are for you!

I will admit that I have never read the whole bible. I do however plan to use a bible in a year plan and do it. This Bible in a year is geared towards kids age 5-12. I just might use this one because it has little notes and definitions at the bottom. It even starts out with teaching your child how to read the bible. It has a bible timeline and even maps in the back. This particular bible is the NCV (new century version) translation. It is a version kind of like amplified (written for anyone to understand). It is really a great study bible for young kids and even preteens.
My family will be using this bible to do daily readings and studying out of as a family. I think it is fun to get the family together and study together. When the little one is older it will be funner. Right now she loses interest. This bible is set up so that each day you will read about 3 books (sometimes more or less). You can then take family time and talk about what you have read or have your child ask any questions they might have about the daily reading. It is a great way to teach kids or study by yourself.
If your family has a resolution of reading the bible more than you need this one. You can enter below to win your own copy. Good luck!

My Friend Jesus The Gospel for Kids was written by Kathryn Slattery. The book teaches children that Jesus is their friend and it is important to have a personal relationship with him. As an adult I know how important my relationship is with him but my child does not understand that yet. This book is written for children to learn and understand that Jesus really is their friend and it is important to have a good friendship with him.
It is written for all ages and denominations. It even teaches children how to pray and talk to God. It takes them through the life of Jesus in a way that they will understand.

I think the book is great and written really well. My little one will not sit through it so I have to add in fun voices and keep her attention. If you would like your own copy of the book you can enter to win one below. Good luck!

I am so happy that I was contacted by Milton's Baking. I love the crackers that I got to try out last time. This time I got to try out a different kind of cracker. I got to try their multi-grain gourmet crackers. With the superbowl coming these will make a great snack for guests.

I was sent five different flavors of gourmet crackers. I was sent roasted garlic and herb, original multi-grain, everything multi-grain, whole wheat sesame multi-grain, and crispy sea slat.

My favorite was the whole wheat sesame. I thought it was the best tasting but they were all good. They are crispy and great to serve with cheese or other toppings.

Above is a tray I served for New Years Eve. I had some smoked sausages, cherry tomatoes, mozarella cheese, and of course some Milton's gourmet crackers. Below is a yummy pic of our snack. There are tons of things you could do with these crackers.

A few recipes I would suggest are:
  1. Tomato and Pesto gourmet cracker plate
  2. Smoked Salmon Cucumber Bagel Snack
  3. Caprese Salad Bites

The great thing about the crackers is they are all natural. There is also zero grams of trans fat in them and no preservatives. They are great and I highly recommend using them for your next party.
If you would like to win a cracker prize pack you can do enter below. Good luck!!
