Devotions For Beginning Readers Book Review/Giveaway

*Disclosure: I am a Tommy Nelson Mommy and was provided complimentary books to facilitate my review. These are my experiences and opinions yours may differ.*

My daughter and I usually do a devotion of some kind in the afternoon. It is really hard to keep her attention when I do not have a devotion book geared towards kids. This one is awesome because it is written for children ages 4 to 8. My child is not 4 yet but she really likes the pictures in the book. I really like the idea that the book introduces a word each day. The devotion is written using that word and teaching the meaning of it. There is always a scripture at the top of each devotion. The book does not necessarily need to be read in order. I like that because my daughter likes to skip and start in the middle. The print in the book is big enough for a child to read on their own as well. This is awesome because I can do an adult devotion and when my child can read she can do her own at the same time. Of course I would be there fr any questions that arose.

This book is great to have in your home for your children. You can learn more about it at Devotions for beginning readers online. You can also enter to win your own copy below. Good luck!

  5. The best time is whenever I'm home and have the time. Usually on the weekends but I would say evenings when they're ready for bed.

  9. We always read and say prayers before bed, so this would be great to have in the evening.
