This is Our Time (Movie Review/Giveaway Ends 5/4)

In this movie a group of friends just graduated college. A couple of them head off to do missionary work while the rest stay home to move on with their lives. When a tragedy strikes the group starts to question their callings and what God wants them to do. One of the friends starts to question God and does not understand the reason for the tragedy. The others have to bring positivity to the situation and want to bring their lost friend back to God. Will they be able to get him back where he needs to be?

This movie was great and very inspirational. I personally am not sure what my calling is yet but this is something I pray about. I know I am to help people though. This is a must see movie for Christians and anyone wanting a little inspiration. Below is the trailer for it:

Uglee Pen Review/Giveaway Ends 4/26

The UGLee Pen is a very special pen. As you can see above it has a grip that almost covers the whole pen. This pen is ergonomic which means that it will work for big and small hands and not hurt after writing for a long time. I am a student and yes I did have a favorite pen. My old favorite pen had a grip that covered the entire pen. The grip was not as comfortable as this grip on this pen. I could take notes for about forty five minutes with my old pen but with this one I am able to use it a whole class which is over an hour long. I absolutely love how smooth the pen writes as well. It is a great pen in all. If you have questions or want to know more check out this page: UGLee Pen FAQ's. If you would like to enter to win your own pen enter below. Good luck!!

Your Name In Bible Verses Review

COMMENT

Bible verse makes certificates with a name written out in bible verses. As you can see from the picture above they write the name out on the side and the verses to the right of it. The certificate itself will fit in a 8 1/2 by 11 inch certificate frame, matted in a 10 by 13 inch frame, or matted in a 11 by 14 inche frame. You can find these frames most places. We have not framed it yet but are going to as soon as we move and Christine has her own room.

The certificate has a very cute design as a border. It says baby and has flowers on it with stars. Above is a close up of the border that goes around the certificate. When it came in the mail it even had a cardboard piece with it that I plan to put in its frame to keep it sturdy. All in all I am very satisfied with this certificate. It would make a great baby shower or baptism gift.

Prayers for Girls Book Review/Giveaway Ends 4/26

This is the cutest little book ever. It is a colorful board book with a little handle on the spine of it. The book is written in a very cute rhyme. It tells your little girl (does come in boy version) that they can pray at anytime. It lets them know that God can always hear you even while riding your bike or at school. I have never seen such a cute book about prayer. I really enjoyed how they go into detail about God hearing prayers. They write it simple for your child to understand but it really gets the point across. We as adults know that we can pray anywhere and at anytime and he will always hear us but children might not yet know this. The book is a really good bedtime book to use to pray over your child. Christine loves to carry the book around the house with the little handle.
I am honored to get to do a giveaway for this book. You can chose girl or boy version. All you have to do is enter below. Good luck!

Max Lucado's Hermie and Friends Dvd I Will Tell the Truth and be Careful What I say (Review/Giveaway Ends 4/26)

In this cute Max Lucado movie Flo the fly seems to think it is fun to make up stories and lie to her friends. Her friends get angry with her and eventually think she is never telling the truth. When Flo has something exciting and important to tell her friends none of them believe her. God talks to her and tells her she should be telling the truth because he never lies to her. In the second episode Flo is mean to others and talks bad about them because she thinks it is OK to do and that it is funny. Her friends let her know that it is not nice and pretty much if you have nothing nice to say then do not say anything at all.

Christine is too young to get the messages behind this movie but I am keeping it and we will watch it over and over. I love Hermie and his little bug friends. The movie is a great tool to teach your children life lessons.
I am happy to say that my readers have the chance to win a copy of this great movie. All you have to do is enter below.  Good luck!!

The Happiest Baby Guide To Great Sleep Book Review

I have a baby that won't sleep on her own and when I got the chance to review this book I jumped on it. The book gives great tips on how to get your baby to sleep from birth to age five. Each section is for the different age groups. I went ahead and went to section three which talks about age one year to five years. Christine is almost fifteen months old and will not sleep in her crib. I will not do crying it out because I end up crying and feeling bad for it. She has to sleep next to me at night and I am really not getting sleep because of this.

The book gives me practical things to do to get her to sleep on her own and to wean her from night feeding. The book is great because they give you little techniques to do with your child to get them into a new routine. From changing bedtime up 30 minutes a night to reading a book or a taking a bath before bed this book offers great tips. I recommend it for anyone out there with a child that has sleeping problems.

Educator.com Review

Educator is an online learning website. They offer a lot of lectures and lessons from biology to music. They even have SAT courses to get your child ready for it. Educator.com has video lectures taught by actual professors. Your child is getting a good education on the site by great teachers.

Each lesson starts with an introduction and will work its way down. It will get more and more complex the farther in the lesson you get.  Everything is shown in a slide and each slide is able to be downloaded at the bottom of the lesson. There are even notes on the bottom with links to further information online. Each lesson has an interactive discussion board at the bottom as well. The students can ask questions or just place comments here. The teachers respond to any questions in this area. The teachers do give personalized support for each of the courses. They are there to help just like in a real classroom. Students are encouraged to ask any question or make comments on anything they are struggling with.

The courses offered go from basic to advance placement to fit your child’s needs. To tell you the truth I just might take the math courses and freshen up. I am horrible at math. I decided to take the biology course as you can see above. It was very informative and taught in a way that a person who has never taken biology could understand it. It is actually taught by a doctor too. These classes are also  learn at your own pace meaning you go to the lectures when you want and do as many or as few as you want at a time. This makes it easier for busier kids or refreshers like me. I would not be able to do it if I had to sit down and do all of it at once.

Above are the subjects that have courses to take in them. As you can see there are a lot of subjects. Inside each subject there are a number of lectures to look at. As I previously stated above you can see below that they start out simple and get more comprehensive to enhance the learning process.

All in all Educator is a good site for anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge or for current students. I am a current college student and most of these classes are designed for elementary kids but I am using some of them to refresh my skills in areas. You are never too old to relearn anything. The course I looked at while doing my educator.com review is here: http://www.educator.com/biology/ap-biology/eaton/. Look around and interact to see how awesome the lessons are and how easy the site is to use.  It is easy to create an account as well. It is not free but any good education cost something. I did not see it as overpriced. You can get a one month, six month, or twelve month plan depending on your needs or what you want. Go check them out and learn something.

Larabar Review

Larabar's are bars that are made with no more than nine ingredients. They come in lots of different flavors. I got the chance to try some of them and fell in love. I like having any type of bars in the house to snack on. These are made from whole foods which makes them even better. The ones I got to try the uber flavors. These are all sweet and salty.

There are four flavors in the uber snack bars. The first two are apple turnover and bananas foster. These two taste just like they say. They are really good.

The second two are cherry cobbler and roasted nut roll. These two were really good as well and did taste just like the flavors they say. They are all chewy bars with peanuts and fruits in them. They have the perfect blend of sweet and salty for me. If you would like to find out more on these bars please go to Larabar
